"is it possible to overdose on SJW?" , Mon 17 Mar 03:04

Hi all,

Wondered if anyone knows side-effects from taking too much SJW - have been on it for about six months now (900 mg per day) but recently have felt like its stopped working. Upped the dosage a bit to 1200mg per day but have been feeling worse than ever recently. I've considered trying 5-HTP with 9oo mg of SJW but wondered if anyone had any advice, whether I should cut out SJW altogether?
Thank!
Ros

I can't say too much about taking more than 900mg or 1200mg a day, but I can say what worked for me. You might find this strange: after I was on SJW for long while (1+ years?) it seemed a bit less effective and then somewhere along the way (perhaps out of frustration) I stopped taking it everyday. The weird thing was, I started feeling better -- so I went for several months taking it every second day. Can't say that there's any science to this at all but intrinsically I thought maybe my body had built up a tolerance or something. Who knows? Anyway, maybe you want to try that for a week an see if it gets better or worse? And then let us know. It's better to try that than loading up on more and more to combat the problem.

I don't seem to have that problem anymore, and just ride the ups and downs of life as they come to me. As far as I know, the SJW is working as well as it ever did.
