Topic Title: How much is too much?

Hello, Currently I am taking the following vitamins/herbals: St Johns Wort (3 per day) Digestive Enzymes (after each meal) Calcium/Magnesium pills (2 per day) Iron/VitaminB/C pills (1 per day)
Each of these need to be taken after a meal. Since I don't eat this many meals, I either take about 2 different pills after each meal. Usually I take a SJW during a coffee or tea or light snack also. so here's the question, is it healthy to mix in this many substances with eachother in 1 day?
  thanks!

Hi Tom669, everything you mentioned sounds ok. It's basically vitamins and SJW, although I don't know anything about the Digestive Enzymes. From the link you provided it looks like a mixture of supplements. How do you feel? Is it working for you?

What are "digestive enzymes"? Is that pepsin or something?
That's a relatively light load of tablets. SJW doesn't need to be taken with meals, and nor should the vitamin pills as far as I can tell.

Here's a link to the Digestive Enzymes; http://www.naturesnutrition.com/SKU/15581.htm
Supposedly it's supposed to help you digest better.
  Thanks for the help.

Do you get any benefit from that? I got the feeling that they were only supposed to be used in people with pancreatic insufficiency? I guess they can't be too harmful if they are available OTC (over the counter).
