I have to great effect. What I can't do is suggest a remedy to try for an illness as complex as depression. My homeopath prescribed about a dozen different remedies over the two years or so she was treating me. The principle is that you treat the current symptoms and gradually work down the the root cause (like peeling layers of an onion). I'm now undergoing treatment for alcohol abuse, which was probably a root cause of my depression, again to great effect.
There are illnesses that you can self treat using homeopathic remedies, but for anxiety/depression I think you need to consult a professional.
Yes, Epyx, I know it's impossible to work - bees can't fly either!

Funny you should ask that, I was just looking some info up on the internet about homeopathic remidies. I have used Oscillococcinum for flu symptoms before, and it works great, but I can't find out any where what it is exactly. Last time I took it was November and I haven't been sick until today. Gotta run out and get some more. Sorry, haven't tried any for anxiety or depression.

Hi -
just seen your message. I live in Chile and just about the only thing you can buy IS homeopathy (although did actually manage to get some SJW at last). I took several different formulas as and when I needed them - one for 'alchoholism and irritability' (effective in reduced my desire to get pissed and got me through the hard evening hours without boozing away TOO much), two for insomnia (these didn't really work for me, although made me slightly more relaxed), and one for 'phobias and panic attacks' (I think this one made a difference as again, felt more relaxed and in control of things).
What I would say is if you hit on the right one at the right time it seems to work, but this doesn't mean it always works - you need to have a back up as well. Homeopathy is great as it is very gentle and you can be guaranteed that your body won't react with horrible side effects, and sometimes it can even be very effective. However it is a bit hit and miss in my opinion (ie try it first and then have something else just in case).
I used Hochstetter natural sedatives selection.
