Or are they doing something different.

LI160 gets re-sold and re-packaged as other brands occasionally. Off the top of my head though, I can't remember any of them.
"LI160" refers to a method of extraction. It results in an excellent product which tends to be high in hypericins but varying in hyperforin content. For this reason, it's not identical to other products on the market that use a different manufacturing process.

For about how long would you say I am shafted from stopping alltogether for a week, then switching to Kira? Its been 3 weeks and some days have been better than others - I'm averaging between 3-4 tabs a day.
I'm hoping long term will outweigh this, and that it starts working again soon.

I'm a little confused about the question, but you shouldn't stop taking SJW when switching brands. Despite the differences in chemical composition, they are still basically the same substance and there are no interactions between brands.
If you stop for any length of time, it seems to take longer to get the effect back.
