My doc just prescribe me trazodone for sleep. I was wondering if any one new of any adverse effects between trazodone and SJW. I currently take SJW liqud, due to the an allergic reaction to capsules. I am very sensitive to meds and don't want to freak out or anything by combining with SJW.

Hi there:

Walgreen's Drug Interaction Checker offers the following information about mixing SJW and Trazadone:

Type: Duplicate Therapy
Description: Significance: No abuse/dependency potential
Duplication Allowance: 0
TRAZODONE 100MG TABLETS and ST JOHNS WORT EXT 300MG TABS are members of the ANTIDEPRESSANTS class and may represent duplicate therapy.

I would possibly check with your GP about this, especially because you have a high sensitivity to medicines.
