Topic Title: SJW effect- kicks in fast but tired body
| | "SJW effect- kicks in fast but tired body" , Wed 3 Apr 00:36
I started taking SJW (Movana brand) this Sunday. I felt the effects almost immediately; the next day. Is this possible or is it a placebo effect? I went from fighting back tears on a daily basis to feeling a warm glow (tonight).
Also, though my mind feels "up", my body is "down" (tired). I feel a considerable contrast between my mind and body. It's like my body is fighting to keep up with my mind. Could it be that my body was exhausted before taking SJW; I'm just aware of it now because of the contrast?

Tiredness in the first couple of weeks of taking SJW is a very (if not the most) common side-effect - don't worry about it unneccessarily though because it generally gets much better after this time (although if you genuinly were exhausted prior to taking SJW, this will probably allow you to relax and start recuperating).
Other things you may notice in the initial stages are a raised heart rate, vivid dreams and a slight headache - again these all normally disappear after a couple of weeks and are nothing to worry about (in fact the vivd dreams can be rather fun!).
As for the immediate effect, it could well be a placebo considering that you have only taken SJW for 3 days, however, it is also fairly common for people to report that their symptoms got better very quickly - unfortunately this is commonly followed by a period where they get worse again before starting to get better in the long term (it takes about 6 weeks to get to this stage).
Hope this helps

Shalinda, if you are really exhausted after taking the SJW then it may be best for you to take them before bed. I have read on these pages in the past that those who experince a sedative like effect tend to take the SJW at bedtime. Although, some did comment that they couldn't get up in the morning and that they had a great and too long of a sleep. In this case I would recommend a slightly lower dosage.
