Has anyone had any sucsess with taking SJW for sever depression and anxiety?..

Severe has several meanings. One litmus test I would apply: do you regularly think about suicide? Are you so low that you are really considering that option? If you are, get professional help now. SJW will probably work in a few weeks or a month if your depression is moderate. But if it the depression is severe, SJW is probably not a good option.

Willy makes a good comment re medieval use. . . evidently they trusted it for more severe forms. . . .
For me severe means not able to function in everyday life. . . missing appts without cancelling, skipping class without concern about consequence, obsession with suicide and planning it, physical illness, not caring about hobbies or passions, cutting off communication with friends and family; in short making a mess of your life and losing things important to you, but somehow not being able to stop it. . . . ick. Been there, Gia.
Here's my two cents for what it's worth: if you are in that place, DON'T mess around. Go to a good doc who knows what they are doing. . . preferably with psychiatric training. Let them use drugs that have been proven over and over again in formal scientific settings to be effective. Get back on your feet. Then after a year or two of that. . . (you need to be on any antidep for awhile!) think about trying SJW for maintenance. Don't mess around with what is still experimental if you are severely depressed, or you're messing around with life and death. Just my opinion.

Please describe what you mean by severe depression. All the books I have read talk about SJW being used in mild to moderate cases. I have never heard of the herb being used for anything like Severe Depression, although the ancients reportedly used SJW for cases of maddness and demon posession.
