Topic Title: Brand, is it that important ?

I really can't afford the expensive brands. Is it a mistake to buy the cheap ones ? Also does anyone know if it is available on prescription in the UK ?

I've found there is a difference in brands. Ordering online some of the better brands are surprisingly well priced. I live in the States, and there may be some additional charges to the U.K., but Perika is available online for about $7.00/bottle of 60 (20 day supply), HBC Protocols for about $29.99/bottle of 280 (93 day supply)+ shipping for either choice. Both are standardized for hyperforin and hypercin. Some people have had really good luck with Perika. I've found a big improvement with HBC Protocols. I was surprised at the difference in my response to the brands.

I have used the Kira tincture or whatever it is. I found I didn't have the side effects of indigestion. I've also had SJW tea I imagine that is pretty weak. I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount but here Kira is about £15 per pack, i can't afford that at the moment. I'm also taking Siberian Ginseng as a general tonic. thanks for the advice !

I'm not familiar with brands available in the U.K., but several people on this forum have mentioned Boots, which I think is supposed to be similar or identical to Kira, and I think they've said it was less expensive. You might want to check that out too.

Boots is the name of a chemist's shop here ! They do own brand stuff... It's still £9.95 there I'm currently paying £3.00 for tablets. Maybe I could get them cheaper on line, I'd prefer the tincture if possible ! ?

I'm fairly sure it's not available on prescription in the UK. You could always ask in case it has changed, but it certainly wasn't in the past...

I have found a massive difference between brands: some brands are just horrible, some brands are good but inconsistently (from batch to batch) and some brands (Kira, the only research grade brand I have tried) are very good consistently; from my personal experience of using SJW for about 3 years, I would definitely go with a research grade brand (such as Kira) as this seems to be the only kind of SJW that consistently yealds good results.
