I am living in Australia and I have just bought Herbs of Gold SJW 3600, it says each tablet contains : extract equiv to dry Hepericum Perforatum herb top fl. (3,600mg) 3.6g and to take 1 - 2 a day, is this too much or too little? as I have read most of the posts and they are so different to what I have on this bottle. Hope some one can help.

Does it indicate what the standardized dosage is? Usually it says something like 0.3% hypericum (or even better, hypericin). Without that it's pretty hard to calculate how much to take, because the "leaves and flowers" that so many brands indicate tell you how much medicinal value is in the capsule/tablet/pill. Let us know and we'll try to help you out.

No percentage on it at all thats why I went for that one rather than the 1800. The label says:-
Each tablet contains: extract equiv to dry Hepericum perforatum herb top fl. (3,600mg)....3.6g
*standardised to contain hypericin derivatives calc. as hypericin.......1.98mg
*standardised for assured and reliable potency.
I know the 1800 was double the dosage per day, I hope this helps.

Well 300mg x 0.3% = 0.9mg x 3 capsultes = 2.7mg of hypericin for the brand I'm taking. Assuming the label is correct for yours and the tablet truly does contain what it says, it looks like you'd just take one and a half per day. Hope it works for you, if not try another brand. :)
