Eww...
I have used GNC brand SJW to good effect for about a year, but decided to order a bottle of iHerb's SJW made by Jarrow Formulas. It has arrived, and eww... it smells horrible, like paint thinner! Granted, SJW itself is no bouquet of roses, but at least the GNC brand smells like herbs and not like harsh chemicals. I don't have any facts, but I have to wonder if that's the smell of solvent residues. Anyway, I'm not putting anything that smells like this in my body, even to try it out. I'll stick with GNC.

SJW does smell sort of paint-thinnerish with certain extracts. I don't think it has anything to do with solvents, but rather the way the tablets are made... pressed tablets have very little odor (coated tabs like Perika have almost none), but most SJW that comes in capsules tends to smell stronger. I wouldn't worry about it myself, but your choice...
