Hi Everyone-

I had been taking Natrol brand 5-HTP with much success for some time, and then I recently tried switching to a cheaper brand called MRM (Metabolic Response Modifiers). I used the MRM brand of 5-HTP for about a week, with disastrous results. It did not seem to have any efficacy at all. All my symptoms came back, and my life went into a tailspin. When I figured out what was going on, I quickly switched back to my regular Natrol brand, and was fine within hours.

I have no vested interest in promoting or disparaging one brand or another, but clearly there are some brands out there that are dubious or just plain fake.
