Anybody taking kira ? i have heard this is a very effective brand of sjw. Any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
I'm also taking Kira. Are you in the UK? The reason I ask is that for some strange reason the dosage instructions on Kira sold in the UK are much lower than elswhere - actually this is to do with legislation here but it means that people taking Kira in this country are getting a much less effective dose.
You actually need to be taking three of their so called 'one a day' tablets, which unfortunately works out rather expensive. However, Kira are a really good brand so it's worth it if you can afford it... :)

Hi,
I am in US. I am currently taking 2 tabs per day, initially I started three but later my body felt that I am taking strong dose so reduced it to 2 and this is working fine with me, recommendation of smaller dose seems more reasonable to me.
How long you have been taking this brand ? can I take this medicine for much longer time as i already have suffered much from depression ?

Hi again,
I have been taking SJW for about 4 months now. Because Kira is so expensive here, I have supplemented with other brands, ie taken 2 x Kira and 1 x another brand, and it has worked OK. However for the last month I have also taken 5htp, and only 2 x Kira per day. This also seems to be quite effective, although I still have down days sometimes. I definitely feel more confidence in taking Kira as it is such a good brand...it's just a shame it's so pricey.
I will continue with SJW/5htp for as long as I feel I need to - I think many people take it for months and years with no ill effects.

What is 5htp, Is it yet another brand of sjw ? You are right, Kira is quite expensive, I paid $25 for one month supply (90 tabs), how much you are paying there ?

Hi again,
Here in the UK Kira sells for £23 (about $35) for 60 - not even a month's supply. There are plenty of other brands, but Kira does seem the best, and apparantly contains hyperforins as well, which are now believed to be more of an active ingredient than hypericin.
5htp is not the same as SJW, it is another herbal which provides serotonin. Check out the 5htp section here as there's loads of info.
