I know that 5-HTP should not be taken within 6 hours of consuming alcoholic beverages- is this to say that it is safe to drink outside of this timeframe? Obviously yes, alcohol is generally bad for you, but outside of the six hour limit will there be any negative interaction between 5-HTP and alcohol? Please let me know if you have any experience with this

I occasionally consume alcohol close to the time I take my pill. I notice no ill effects. Sometimes I feel more irritable and depressed the next day. I think the alcohol just lessens the effects of 5-HTP.

I was taking 5-HTP when it was a beer party. So I 've been drinking right before and right after taking the pill. There was absolutely no side effects. I know the girl who did the same. Everything was OK.
