I was wondering if there is any info about the use of sam-e in nursing moms. Also is it ok to start sam-e while weaning off zoloft? Any info would be appreciated.

I have the same question. I'm on 150mg of Zoloft right now, but would really like to get off it. My son is 18&1/2mo. He nurses for anywhere from 1/2-3/4 of his food intake. I'd like to try sam-e, but have not found any information besides a caution about breastfeeding while taking it.... I know the info has to be out there somewhere.

TIA for any info you may have.

Edited to add:

I searched Yahoo UK/Ireland and found a news article that says sam-e would be unlikely to harm a nursing infant.
