Hi, I find that Sam-e makes my asthma worse for some reason. I tried it in the past with ok results for my mood. I was taking the Nature Made brand (apparently one of the most consistent in the quality tests by consumerlab). I tried the Life Extension Foundation brand the other day just took 200mg and my asthma got quite bad. I thought it was just a coincidence but tried again today and the smell of the pill as i popped it out of the silver package made my chest seize a bit so I thought better of it. I cannot find any references to this on the net but apparently sulphur can upset asthmatics and methionine is a sulphur containing amino acid. (The sam-e pill does seem to smell a bit sulphurey!)Any thoughts guys?
