Topic Title: ADD and SJW ?

Anybody knows if ADD can be treaten with SJW ? I never been to a psychiatrist or so but I'm just realising that i'm beginning to have trouble in life at the age of 29 now . I never really had big problems in school or college, just I was the "quite" one, a lot of the times not knowing what to say, but I was quit active though. Just in socializing I have never been that good. I prefer to go out with one or 2 friends instead of a whole bunge of people, unless it are people from work, then i cheer up and am actually quit different. I want to be active all the time, which causes me trouble actually, I drive way too much with my car and spend too much money in drinks and just going out. Sometimes I consider myself as a "black hole" :) needing too much thrills to stay focused and being myself. I felt pretty good in college and also when I started to work. My first job, u know, very exiting, I had motivation, money bought a nice sportscar. So I was quit the man. I still wasn't that big talker or social person, but I was doing fine. After 3 years the company went bankrupt and the problems started to occur. I first decided that I would go for a surgery which I couldn't do when I was working ( PE for anybody who knows, sunken chest ). This was a very severe surgery so I was home for about 6 months. After this period I was just very anxious and stressed. I had problems finding a job and things got just worse. I never really had a depression but frow now on I experienced depressed feelings. I just feel that if I was more social, I would have found a job much easier, cause now I'm way to picky in choosing a job ( especially cause I liked my previous work so much ). This all together I am thinking I have a lot of the add symptoms. Is this treatable with SJW ? I had a huge burnout in januari and now i'm trying to get back on my feet. I'm also using SJW now and I hope it will help a little.

Remmeber, The symptoms of Anxiety and ADD can be very close. If you find it hard to socialize, feel like thoughts are rushing through your head, hard to focus, feel on edge or nevous, hard to relax, etc. it is probably anxiety. The thing is, ADD/ADHD responds well to stimulants such as meds. or lots of caffine. However anxiety disorders respond well to the complete opposite: seditives. I would check into it more and try and think of which it really is, from what you say i would guess it is Generalized Anxiety. You should check into it more, and once you determine what is wrong you will be able to treat it better. Clarocet is very good for anxiety. If it really is ADD i don't think SJW will help much, it helps more with mood elevation. if you want to ask me some more questions you can

Did u ever use clarocet ? I am at a point now I don't know anymore what to use. Im suffering now with burnout symptoms. I just woke up one day ( from third of januari) I felt horrible. Wasn't able to do anything. My whole body felt like ****, no feeling anymore, severe headache, tension around chest and shoulders/neck. I used SJW after a month and it helped me a little at the time, I was able to do things in some kind of way, but I stopped after 10 days cause I just didn't like the feeling. Then I tried ginseng ( also not good, too much energy) , magnesium ( too tired). Just vitamines seem to help a little. Last week I tried SJW again, but this time it was really bad ! My head was so itchy i had too sratch all the time, i became nervous, my heartrate went up, me ears were ringing, so not at all what i needed. Im beginning to think to just take nothing and let it pass over time. U told me about clarocet, i saw it contains a lot of ingredients incl. SJW. Maybe take only valerian ? What did u suffer from ?

To answer the last question, depression and anxiety. Yes I am using clarocet right now, I just switched from NRI to Extended Release. It deffinately helps with anxiety. If your burnout this is a good time to look at what led to your burnout, use this time to self reflect. What can you do differently. If you are burned out try (if you can) doing things to give back to yourself, like exercise, maybe a vacation, read a good book to inspire you, volunteer, best of all if you can find something that your passionate about and that gives back to you, like volunteering for an organization you like. You did well in school so you are talented find something that needs your talent, that will make you feel good. Like tutoring. Basically try and take care of yourself, Part of this can be chemical and really part of it is just life. Massage could be good. If you are burned out you might need to make some changes. This can be exciting or scary. Sometimes it's comforting to know that what you are going through is normal, you lost your job and are getting anxiety because you haven't found another. Perfectly normal. Wish I could give you more advice but hey, I'm still in college. hope some of this helps

Why did u switch from nri to extended ? I might want to give it a try also. Seems like it has the right amount of all the herbs and vitamines in it. Hope it does something for me. Thanks for the info .
