| | "mini-dosages effective ?" , Tue 21 Mar 09:14:
Anyone tried taking very small dosages? I was taking zibrine 425mg /capsule . I have the feeling its just working too much . Is it ok to open the capsule and just take a little bit every day.

First of all, what is zibrine? It doesn't sound like a brand of St. John's Wort.
Second, you can take less SJW than the recommended dosage. Rather than take 3 capsules a day as recommended, taking 2 or 1 a day is a great way to slowly get yourself off it. After all, that's what we're all looking for: getting off the antidepressants after they've done their job for long enough.

Zibrine is a german brand from Merck. Description from 2 doctors, so i think its a good one. For 3 days now, im just using a fraction of whats in one capsule. I just put a little in my sandwich :). And I can tell its working. And I don't get that tired as i did with the whole capsule. I just feel drugged too much and i am afraid i have to keep using it.
Are u still using SJW ? For how long did you ?

I take a small amount of SJW today, 300mg (one-third of what I once took). At some point I'll stop taking even that. What I like about SJW is that you can go off it gradually. In fact I feel better taking a smaller amount now, but then it's been years for me. It's harder to take less and less with the prescription meds. I've also gone long periods without SJW too, and forsee doing that again. On the new website I'll put up some thoughts on how to get off antidepressants altogether... after all, that's what we'd all like to do at some point!
