Hi. Over the last 12 years I've had 3 episodic bouts of depression which have been brought about by significant life changes and stresses. At present I've been prescribed the Abbott Laboratories tricyclic brand Prothiaden (Diothepin HCL) and am taking one 75mg tablet daily. I don't like the side effects and am considering switching to SJW. When I'd recovered from my first bout of depression 12 years ago, I started to take 3 x 300 gm hypericin-standardised SJW tablets. They served me very well but stupidly I decided to stop taking them when I felt OK. Now, the depression is back though not as severe as last time, thank heavens. So... here are my questions. Have you any experience of changing from Diothepin to SJW? Was it successful? What advice do you have about making the shift in terms of Diothepin dosage reduction, and uptake of SJW? Thanks for helping. Sincerely... fab23
