I've been using Bacopa for some time. It is effective for both depression, anxiety, and memory. I had gotten so used to it's effects after taking it for over a year, that I decided to quit it for a while to see if it was really doing much. After about a couple weeks without it, I realized I was considerably more anxious and depressed so started taking it again yesterday. Today, I felt great! It definantly is doing something for me. I take the Paradise herbs brand which I get from i-herb. I also take St. John's Wort standardized for hyperforin. I highly recommend Bacopa.

Ai pixybell,

Thanks for reply. I thought you forgot me. I admire you for helping others in sharing what you've got. Im spending my time on internet researching on improving memory and mood enhancer on the same time. PIXYBELL i cannot afford for now on sjw or 5htp since i cant buy here in our country by tablet and i dont have work yet, (which contribute to my anxiety so much). They sell it by bottle. I have found one time, on one site the effectiveness of BACOPA, and they mention that it can relieve anxiety. But i need to be sure since they sell that herb here in our country for 14.50 pesos per table the name is MEMO PLUS GOLD. I want to try it since these past few days i was feeling really really bad. I was coming back to my negative self that i have no one to talk too (how bad) and added by the politics in our country (coz the govt declares a state of the emergency, like martial law in those days). I blame the our government for high unenployment, its very hard to find decent job here even you are degree holder.hayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!.......

My meditation are not connecting effectively in my mood coz recently i found it very tiring there last few days. Before i take b-complex and calcium but this month i only take vit e (squibb). And i was thinking of replacing vit with bacopa coz they says that it has also antioxidant like of vit e. If its true, bacopa has memory enhancer, anti-anxiety, and antioxidant property, it has all i need in one herb, wow.

So i need to be busy now again in our chruch. To all catholic posters, try to attend a wednesday mass coz its "ash wednesday". Well i guess i will need to think it over again. Gud am there and evening here.

Hiya reyhav (harvey?),

No I didn't forget about you I even posted on off chat section to see if you were okay as I hadn't seen you around for ages.

I am so sorry to hear your feeling so sad, I must admit I'm not feeling that good either, and I am trying to think of positive thoughts too. It is even harder for you with all the politics and the restrictions you have placed upon you, I'm sorry for that.

I am going to go and try and find some different sjw as the one I was taking gave me a few horrible side effects. These past few days I have felt really down and not much like wanting to do anything except hide away. I think the 5htp isn't working anymore as I have more bad than good days so like you I need to re-think what I want to do.

I hope we both feel better soon my friend, takecare you are in my thoughts. Pixy xx

Ai PIXYBELL,

Sorry for confusion of my true name (i have mention it). So its sad that were are really having a bad day. Its sad new that the 5htp your are taking up has no effect to you anymore. PIX's i hope you dont mind if i would make a sort of suggestion to you. Since you have your resources, why acn you try to see your problem in another way. That is, i suggest to try taking up vitamins especially vit b complex. There are symptoms that also affects mood when you are defficient with it. I think 5htp has done it role in your case. I also suggest calcium, for its calming effect. I dont suggest multivitamins coz its has too little content of b complex on it. For further guidlines PIX's, try to search in internet for rda of it and also defficiency of b-complex symptoms.

PIX's if you dont mind i just want to ask you if you also feel rumbling of heartbeat in times you cannot sleep. Thats my old problem thats coming back. It annoys me a lot especially when i sleep in sideway postion. I keep heard its beating up too strong. I hope im not the only one who suffering in that problem. I hope to reply soon as you may share an important suggest which may help me.

I admire a person like you who dont loose hope in battling their negative moods. I also one for your cause and im happy to know that this site are for those like us.

Hiya my friend,

Don't worry about the name I am easily confused haha!!! I will take note of what you say about the vitamins, I do take a multi-vitamin but maybe your suggestion is something I need to consider. I finally dropped off to sleep lastnight near 3am and was back awake at 7am this isn't good when you have to then come into work the next day and function. I am going to the health food shop at the weekend and I will have a chat with the staff and see what they can recommend and I will let you know how I get on.

The palpatations you are describing sound like anxiety, for me its my head I can't switch my brain off from thinking. Do you have panic attacks too? have you ever thought about some sort of yoga or tai chi? the breathing techniques and slow steady movements helped me when I was less tired. Right now I can't face my classes as I'm just so tired. I hope your okay my friend and hope to see you soon.

Hiya my friend,

Sometimes my job can be hard, I am a drug support worker and it can be quite stressful at times, i think it is more my personal life thats making me feel that horrible anxious just want to go and hide feeling I keep getting.

I am not sure what to do and i keep leaning toward prescription medication as thats what helped before, I don't know reyhav right now I sit here writing this to you with tears in my eyes as I feel a little trapped and unsure of what or where to turn next.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me.
Love pixy xxx
