Topic Title: How Long?
| | "How Long?" , Mon 20 Feb 12:12:
I started taking Kira brand SJW about 2 weeks now (give or take a few days) for the anxiety I had that came from tons of stress in my life. I am feeling a lot better, but the feelings still aren't totally gone. I have my good days and I still have bad days. I am 17 (going to be 18 on March 8th) and take 2 SJW pills a day (one in the morning and one at night). How long does it actually take for SJW to really EFFECT your body and should I maybe go up to 3 SJW's a day? If so, how should I do this...gradually, or just start taking three a day?
Basically now, I feel like a lot of my anxiety is gone but that I no longer know myself? Anyone else feel like this? Will the SJW help that too?

have taking Perika 3 times a day since Christmas Day and I feel like a different person. In about two weeks, my low level depression left, and I am excited once again about life. I still have a range of emotions, but not the ever-present feeling of sadness.
My only side effect was at the beginning a little sleeplessness (middle of the night awakening). Now, it's just the opposite, I sleep through the entire night.
I may cut back to 2 tablets a day. Any thoughts on this?

Yes I seem to have the same problem about the depersonality . I am taking it for 8 days now. In the beginning was really strange, like i was lifting up. Now that feeling has gone a little, or did I just get used to it? I had some good days and then like today is again really bad , pfff . Im taking it after a burnout, my chest is also really tense, difficult breathing and its reaaaly enoying . Wanted to eat today and was hungry but just couldn't get a bite , frustrating. I have this going on for 7 weeks now.
I think i'm gonna look for something else now, something which brings more energy or so . In my case i was overstressed so Im gonna take Valerian at night's ( and maybe during day ) to take the tension away.
Anyway I'll keep updating here, hope u too .

I'm having a really bad day today as well! Last night I had a nightmare that I had went crazy and this morning, all my old feelings came back again from the anxiety: feelings of going crazy, losing control, scary and sudden thoughts, etc, etc, etc. I know SJW says it takes a few weeks (not sure exactly HOW many weeks), but it seems like it's just stopped working for me because all of my old feelings are back again all of a sudden! Hopefully it's just a "bad day" and I don't start that cycle into that horrible anxiety again...
Can anyone help me with this? Now, Alex, that valarein...do you have to have a prescription for that? I'm only asking because I already went to the doctor the end of January and he pretty much dismissed me saying it was just stress and to "get out more" and he said if I wanted I could see a counselor or psychiatrist.
And like I said, maybe I should up to 3 SJW's a day?

You don't need a prescription for the Valerian. It's also natural like SJW. For the SJW, I'm not sure anymore if I should take it. My personal advisor says don't stop, go on for min 2 months. But I just don't like the feelings I had from taking it. It's the first time I'm taking this kind of medicine and it seems like I have other thoughts on some things, very strange, its just making me goofy actually. It makes me stronger in some way, emotionnaly but for me it seems like a drug which is blocking too many emotions. Maybe I'll stop as from today with SJW. The Valerian I'll keep using for the moment cause I need good sleep to be more active during day. I started taking this because I was overstressed, so maybe if i took the right kind of vitamines it wouldn't occur. For me I need to bring my energy level up, for sure, the anxiety and so will disappear also then. I read u can take several herbs to sleep better, maybe u can check that out. I aslo have problems with falling into sleep, it can be from working in shifts or just doing nothing all day :) I know one thing if U have a good job, come home do some work out in the gym or whatever and u can take care of yourself evrything will workout out fine, since i lost some of those things problems started to occur ... By the way : i also went to someone who does bioresonance, ever heard of that ? seems to do good things also ...

Is it safe, do you think, to take both Valerian AND SJW? I have been looking up things on Valerian and it says it works for anxiety /stress/insomnia. I don't have a big problem with insomnia...in fact, I sleep pretty well (lately, at least). But, I have found that I'm having extremely vivid dreams that are hard to shake off when I wake up. I'm also having a lot of deja'vu' lately.
I have very weird thoughts, like I said, as well. Thoughts of losing control, killing things or hurting things, going crazy...these things WERE basically gone, but today it feels like when I first started getting anxiety (which was about a month and a half ago...it'll be 2 months on my birthday).
I don't have a job, so I don't have to worry about that, but I have been trying to get out a lot more lately. It was working, until today. Hopefully I'm just having an off day...?
No...I've never heard of bioresonance. What is it?

It's safe to take it, they recommended me this. The dejavu thing, I had that too, strange thing this SJW ... :)
Bioresonance is a method where they use ur own body frequencies. Everything in ur body has a frequency and if something is "out of frequency" they try to adjust it. It works by just holding 2 metal pieces wich are wired on a computer. I went there because after a surgery I had different complaints and a lot of them were solved.
U gonna stay on SJW ? I think Valerian is a better choice if u have vivid dreams and so.

I think I will stay on SJW...only because it WAS working for me. But I am definately going to start taking valerian. Is it safe to take both at the same time?
Another thing, what brand of Valerian do you use? I always get stumped buying brands and always wind up buying a bad brand that doesn't work, lol.
Does the valerian work for your anxiety and stress good too, or is it basically for sleep?

I think it's safe to use at the same time yes.
It's called Now but since Valerian is the only ingredient in it I think any brand is ok.
They say u can use it during daytime too for anxiety and stress. It's given at students when taking exams or learning. It's actually a good alternative for sleeping pills but without the side effects, you wake up normally and not that dizzy feeling from the sleeping pills. I took them too once, really not healthy and I started having panic attacks the days after I took just one pill ... I'll quit SJW for the moment see what it gives and start taking multivitamines to strengthen myself a little.
Did u take other medication before ?

No, I've never taken any medication before. This anxiety thing I have came over me after a very stressfull period in my life and is just not going away. I went to the doctor already and he pretty much dismissed me as being over-stressed, told me to get out more (i am, almost every day, lol), and to see a psychiatrist if I wanted to.
I told myself that if I was still feeling bad in February, that I would go see one but I started getting better, so I decided not to. Now, though, I'm considering it. I would really like to try and help myself out first if I can though, with herbs like SJW and Valerian.
I was just doing a search and found that Valerian is good for anxiety, but that Kava Kava is an herb SPECIFICALLY for anxiety. See, I hesitate on taking Valerian only because I was taking Tylenol PM for a few weeks to help me sleep. That stuff gave me the WORST nightmares and I was only taking 1 of them, when the recommended dossage is 2! Since valerian is a sleep aid, I'm afraid it'd have the same effects on me and I really don't think I can go through that nightmare period again (although I did have a nightmare last night out of the blue..?)

With Valerian u wont get any nighmares i think, not with me at least. And u can take them at the same time, i'm pretty sure. I also had this thing after a stressfull period. Seems like I had to heavy emotions which made my stress level go to high. It's been 7 weeks now and looks like i'm slowly starting to get better. By the way, i stopped with SJW for 3 days now. Instead i'm using vitamines. Do you also have that dizzy/goofy ( don't how to explain) in ur head after it happened and before taking anything ? I wasn't actually depressed before so i think it needs other medication.
