"new to the forum- symptoms" , Tue 14 Feb 08:30

Hi to all and thanks for this site. I have been dealing with what
I think is mild/ moderate depression for 4 months now. It came
on suddenly enough that I quickly decided I needed some help.
I have been using New Chapter Serofin - full
dose (900) for 3 weeks and things are improving but I still have
some rough days. I have 2 questions : has anyone been using the Serofin and how is it working for you ? I dont see alot mentioned about it on this site. Also - since this all began, I notice I am sensitive to unexpected sounds, doors closing or a newspaper rustling sends a slight shiver or startle through me - and the sensitivity seems proportional to how good or bad my day has been. Anyone else with sound related symptoms ?
Thanks for any responses and thanks to Kelly for this site - Just reading some of these posts has helped me tremendously.

Hi Samantha - thanks for your reply. I'm just curious - have you found something that has worked for you. Since we share a common symptom/ side effect I am curious to know if anything has helped
you.

thanks

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that I had that same strange symptom while taking sjw and it persisted for a long time after I went off of it - I became extremely sensitive to sounds and easily startled. I would also sometimes have a hyper-awareness of my surroundings. This sound sensitivity may subside for you as your body adjusts to the sjw. Best of luck, samantha

Thanks for the reply Samantha - Its hard to remember but the sound
thing may have actually started during my very brief time on Zoloft
(2 weeks) And continued with the SJW. I always assumed it was related to my anxiety and depression rather than the Zoloft or SJW. Could I ask how long it took this to go away for you after you stopped the SJW and did SJW work for you ? thanks and I hope you're feeling good.

Hello,
I can't exactly remember how long the sound thing persisted - it didn't just suddenly dissapear after I stopped sjw. It gradually improved over time - probably about 2 months or so. But that's just me - this doesn't mean that your symptoms won't improve sooner. The sjw didn't, most unfortunately, work out for me but it has obviously helped countless others and I hope you are doing well on it. Take care, samantha.
