I just took my St. John's wort twice in a row by mistake. I forgot I took it earlier. I take Natures Resource 900mg time release. So I just took 1,800 mil of time release. Very stupid. I realized it as I was swallowing them.

Is this dangerous?

The number I've heard is that SJW is considered safe in doses up to 3600 mg. Plenty of people take 1800 daily. So unless you're extremely small or sensitive, you should be fine.

If you're worried, the only thing too much SJW is likely to do is give you too much serotonin. This can cause side-effects such as nausea, shivering, sweating, or tremors, along with cognitive effects like confusion and headache. If you get these symptoms, see a doctor. If you don't get them, you've got nothing to worry about. (It's unlikely you'll have problems unless you are also taking other serotonin-increasing agents like 5-HTP or a prescription antidepressant)

I'd call the doctor if I were you. Just tell him what happened and see what he says. None of us here are doctors (at least, I don't think so), so any medical replies we give you aren't really guaranteed. Best to check with your doctor.
