Topic Title: fluctuations in response to SJW
| | "fluctuations in response to SJW" , Thu 8 Dec 18:07
I have been talking SJW for about 3 weeks now. I think I feel generally happier, however, I also notice that sometimes I feel really crabby, which is not usual for me. Also, my sleep hasnt been too great - I wake up a lot and have been getting very tired by mid-end day. Any suggestions?

I will try to describe MrLovely in such a way that my language will not offend and yet will still convey my message that Lovely's scribblings serve only to safeguard his own power and privilege. Before he initiated an academicism flap to help promote his shameless, xenophobic witticisms, people everywhere are expected to bear witness to the plain, unvarnished truth. Nowadays, it's the rare person indeed who realizes that he is guilty of at least one criminal offense. In addition, MrLovely frequently exhibits less formal criminal behavior, such as deliberate and even gleeful cruelty, explosive behavior, and a burning desire to undermine the truth.

Pissing match? This random fellow just made some weird comment about me and I replied jovially. You're the only one here coming anywhere close to expelling any quantity of urine.

Please remember, Mr Lovely that "tone of voice" doesn't come through very well with short text. When I read your "smacked bottom" comment, I didn't know either if you were angry or jovial.
Please also remember that, unfortunately, part of the "problem" with depression is a sckewed perspective, often where the depressed person interprets events in their lives as intentional malevolent acts upon them. Depressed persons often seem to take most things as validation that they are "bad" and "wrong". I try my best to tread lightly when posting to this board. I've often edited many of my comments, because they could be read as a bit too jabbey (not a word, but seems appropriate here).
I've seen your previous posts and, #1 you are quite helpfull and knowledgeable, esp the info I saw on other supplements, such as vit. B complexes. #2 you write short posts. Maybe you're busy? Maybe you don't like to be too wordy? I don't have a problem with it, but just understand that you might be misinterpreted at times.
And, by the way - we all expell urine, not just goldacamella. Why, I bet you already did, maybe even before you wrote that email today! =)

I usually make a large pot of Starbucks French roast, seems to help.

I was hoping for a more serious response. Besides, coffee is contraindicated for both fatigue and depression.

First off - breathe! Deep, and from the nostrils and expand the chest as you breath. Slow down. Try to feel compassion.
Do you exercise much? Even 1/2 hr walk a day is better than nothing. Not only does exercise give me more energy, but it keeps me from being crabby (which, in my opinion is 180 spin from depression and ambivalence, and I am guessing must be a part of not being depressed? I can't say for sure, since I've been semi-depressed/unhappy for about 20+ yrs now and don't really understand how those non-chronically-depressed folks must think like. It seems to me that they can be crabby a lot). The only problem is when I don't get the opportunity to exercise consistently after I've got my metabolism up - wow, am I crabbier than I ever thought possible! The exercise will also certainly help you sleep better.
During my most-recent down-turn I was lucky enough to have the time to practice some yoga daily (which, in its most basic level is stretches and making sure that you're actually breathing) and I was pretty amazed at how much it mellowed me out. I've heard people refer to yoga's ability to do that and randomly stretched a couple times a week; but the intensive practice (especially the focused breathing) was amazing in its ability to translate into the rest of my day and mellow the crabbiness.
I just read a recent post from Tom17179 where he said his mania was mellowed by American ginseng tea each morning. I'm looking forward to trying that to help my own crabbiness, which I associate with mania
And no refined sugars!

Dear Goldacamella, Make sure you don't take SJW too late in the day. Some people say it helps them sleep but it keeps me awake so as long as I don't take it after 5:00, I'm okay. Also, I found taking liquid vitamin B complex with high B12 helps me sleep. You might try valarian or melatonin as well. I found that the ups/downs, irritability and feeling a little wired when first starting SJW all stabilized after 6-8 weeks.

SJW may stabilize after 6-8 weeks, but for many others the change will take place after 7 to 10 weeks. However, there are some who will notice a change in as little as 5 to 7 weeks. On the other hand, there are a few who will see a change after 8 to 11 weeks. In this extreme example, some people may note a change in only 4 to 6 weeks.
