I am currently on Synthroid for HYPO-thyroidism. I have heard that St. John's Wart may have some form of interference with thyroid medication.

Is it safe for me to take St. John's Wart?

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism some months ago and am now taking Eutirox 50.I asked my endocrinologist if there was any interaction problem with supplements,esp.St.John's Wort,and she said no.Nevertheless I just did some research and it says on a site about interactions between supplements and medications that st.john's wort does reduce the thyroid activity of synthroid.
I wish I knew for sure.
I've been taking sjw for years now,more than three,and have felt great.
Should you find out something more from a reliable source,please let us know!
From what I've seen,there are quite a few a people here who are in treatment for hypothyroidsm.
