I noticed 2 side effects while taking any supplement that has to do with serotonine: muscle fasciculations and nausea. None seriously bad but both persistent. I was on SJW for 2 months, Rodiola Rosea for a month and now I`m taking SAMe. These side effects subsided each time when I wasn`t taking anything. SAMe is the first one that really helps and wouldn`t want to drop it just because of these side effects but can`t stop wandering if it`s not a bad sign.
I appreciate any advice.

Hello I suffer from a disorder no one could dx untill recently. But it was the same systoms but became disabling. Look up consersive anxiety. Its too complicated but I think you will be amazed on what you will read with what you are going threw. It seems like DBT is really the only treat everyday problems stress and more and for disorders when meds stop working or dont work due to side effects you only have prayor and dbt. So look up DBT too........Good luck hope this helps.

Dania,

I know that SSRI's tend to aggravate symptoms for people who have RLS and BFS. BFS = Benign Fasciculation Syndrome. I have that and the symptoms are muscles twitching, sometimes so that you can see them moving under your skin. RLS = Restless Legs Syndrome. Both of these are neuromuscular conditions and things Like Prozac can make symptoms much, much worse. In fact, that is why I stopped taking Prozac a few weeks ago and I want to try SJW. So, I sure hope that twitching muscles is NOT a side effect of SJW.

I'd be interested to see what others have to say about this particular side effect. I only just now started SJW and have not felt any nausea yet.

Cheers from Texas!
