Topic Title: Mini-mania followed by low days....

Hi, I'm now humming along on my 8th week on sjw. Recently i've had days feeling really really well, not a problem in the world, followed by days (1-2) where it feels like im "paying back" the great day, feeling really anxious and low. When I started sjw I was constantly feeling anxious and low for many years, but never manic. Should this be considered normal effects while getting used to the herb, or is it starting to poop-out? Guess i should just give it more time and be grateful I'm having positive effects, but any advice from you out there who are more experienced with sjw would be appreciated.
Thanks! Herbie

I don't know what causes this, but I have had a similar experience. In my case the mini-mania was feeling a sense of stability, well-being, feet on the ground type thing. It was wonderful feeling as I would imagine a normal person at a good time would feel. The low days would send me spiraling right back to suicidal mornings, inability to accomplish anything, loss of hope etc. These differences in mood would frequently occur within a single day, more often the variance would occur from day to day. I finally changed brands of sjw (perika to hbc) and felt much more stable on hbc. My good days/hours were not as distinct, but the bad times disappeared. Sjw has helped a lot over the past several months. I'm currently on a break from it and doing fairly well, knock on wood, on just ginkgo biloba (helps a lot with underlying low level depression that has plagued me for many years, most of my adult life), fish oil (not sure if that helps me but continue to take it anyhow) and a multivitamin. If I cycle back into major depression (typically happens on an unpredictable schedule of its own) will definitely add sjw to the mix again. If the instability becomes really disruptive you might try another brand. There was a post yesterday by someone who found kira stabilizing compared to other brands tried. You're not alone in possibly having to experiment some here.
