Topic Title: 0.3% or 0.15% total Hypericins ??
| | "0.3% or 0.15% total Hypericins ??" , Thu 29 Sep 18:52
Hello there.
I have a simple (ish) question.
I would like to take the standard dose of SJW (3 X 300mg/day @ 0.3% total Hypericins)
But I have gone and accidently bought a bottle of 300mg with 0.15% total Hypericins, now I realise this is half the recommended intake of Hypericins, so my options are to throw it in the bin or take twice the amount of pills (6 x 300mg to get the correct Hypericin intake).
Does anyone here think it would be unsafe to consume 1800mg @ 0.15% total Hypericins until this bottle runs out ?
Many thanks for any help
Mr Lee

I, personally, would probably throw it away just because the proportion of hypercin to the whole herb might be different than a .3% hypercin standard formula, so if you take twice the recommended dose of the sjw you have purchased you might be getting twice as much of the roots and stems in proportion to the flowering parts. Whether this would make a difference or not I don't know, but I'd rather go with a brand formulated to known research standards.
I think some other people on the forum have unknowingly purchased low hypercin formulas and taken a higher dose to get the recommended hypercin, but don't recall reading any results, positive or negative, of doing this, and would wonder whether this would be something anyone should do long-term.

Thanks for the reply, you are probably right!
If I knew more about this kind of thing I would take a educated guess, but I will just feed them to the cat (he's looking kinda down) and go get me some 0.3%
Once agin thanks for the input.
