Hi any advise on this would be great. i have had anxiety for the past 5 years or so and have to say at times have felt very down. the doctors put me on anti d's but i had to stop due to the very bad side effects, for some reason they made my anxiety and panic bad. i have been thinking about SJW for along time but if i am honest i have been a bit on edge about taking it in case it gives me the same reaction that the anti d's did. oh yes one more thing i seem to be alot worse just b4 my period.
many thanks
Sam

I recommend you to read a book "Healing Anxiety and Depression" by Daniel Amen. They based their research on thousands of brain scans of people with anxiety/depression. There are at least 7 types of anxiety/depression disorders. And what medication is good for one type could worsen simptomps for others. In particular they recommend to use St John's Wort to those who have "Overfocused anxiety/depression". After reading the book I understand why SJW does not work for some people.

...
What are the 7 types? And how can you find out which one you have?

Hi samjane,
don't know if you're in the UK...
Have you also looked at other options, such as support groups for people with anxiety?
Your GP, or the clinical psychologist which works in conjunction with your GP, may know of such support groups in your area and be able to put you in touch.
I've found them to be of benefit to me.

I have severe Social anxiety and shyness. I've been taking Clarocet since Feb 20th. I am feeling huge difference. I feel less anxious and shyness when around people. I started talking to people with confidence.
Please try this product. Earlier I was taking Perika SJW. It didn't help me much.
