Helo, I have been taking Paxil for about two years; and today I recived a call from my dr. telling me that my my blood work came back showing that I have high liver function. I asked why? she told me that it could be because of the Paxil that I take. I am only 24 years old and a new mom. After sitting here alone thinking of what this means I went to my computer and went on looking for something I really did not know what I was looking for: I wanted something to pop up and tell me what to do next but that did not happen, I cane across this great site and it has answered any questions I had. But now I need help on how to get started on sjw? I know that I can not just stop taking my paxil, I am going to ask my dr. to give me a lower dosage, until I am off of Paxil. But then I would like to take SJW. I know this is going to take some time but hay I amnot going anywhere. I will let you know on how I am do, and when I start on SJW. wish me luck on getting off of Paxil that ugly pill.

Sylvias,
Best of luck to you getting off of paxil. You may have some withdrawal symptoms that may cause anxiety or depression related feelings, but I think it is a good move to get off the drugs. Obviously, in your case, it seems like Paxil is doing more harm than good.
SJW is a great supplement, but keep in mind that it is not going to be like Paxil. The effects will take some time (0 - 60 days). You may want to ask your doctor if it is ok to start taking SJW now. Paxil/SJW have no serious negative interactions, but it is best that your doctor supervise the withdrawal.
Also, you might look into other therapies that can help provide you with some real, long lasting results, like cognitive behavior therapy or similar psychotherapies. <-- these worked very well for me.
Best of luck!
