On the Kira SJW packet in the 'Directions for use' it states,
"Do not chew, but swallow whole"
Is there a negative affect on the effectiveness of the Kira SJW if it is chewed rather than just swallowed?
I'm a bit fearful that I'd choke on them, and I'd prefer to just chew them! The Kira SJW certainly taste a lot better than other brands I've tasted!

Maybe because SJW tastes awful? :-) And the kira ones have a very thin candy-like coating, so people might be tempted to bite them?

Yeah, I know what you mean...!!
Though the Kira brand amazingly tasted ok even when I chewed the tablet. I might send them an e-mail and ask them.

I just got an e-mail back from them, and they said,
"The St Johns Wort is not as effective if chewed and will not taste
that nice. It is better if you could swallow it whole."
