Hi Guys,
I thought I would let you all know how I am doing on AmorYn. I have ADHD, Mild Anxiety, and Mild OCD. I didnt want to take any serious medications because all my symptoms are mild, and few and far between. I started AmorYn on September 7th, 2005. It has only been 3 days, but since I started I have experienced the following;
I cannot fall asleep anymore. I used to be able to plop out dead for 9-10 hours at a time, and after only 3 days I cannot fall asleep at all. The last 2 days I havent slept more than 8 hours. I feel exhausted, thats for sure.
My anxiety is worse than before, and I actually had an anxiety attack while walking around in the mall. It might be because I havent been sleeping, but all of a sudden everything got really brite and I couldent see what I was doing and I fell over. I started dry heaving, and got paper white pale. My friend who was with me said I looked like I was dying. I broke out in a freezing cold sweat, and felt like ice. It only lasted about 5 minutes, and then I started to regain my self control and was fine. I have never had an attack in my life, so that really scared me.
My ADHD is also worse, and I cannot concentrate on anything. I find myself making really stupid mistakes all the time, and forgetting to do things. I also am more forgetful of things. Infact I meant to write this 2 hours ago, but when I got on the computer to write it I forgot what I was going to do.
I have heard that symptoms get worse before they get better, but is this what I am experiencing or is this something else? It seems exptreme. Now I MUST include that my lack of sleep is also caused due to a new job working the night shift. I had a little trouble falling asleep just because I am sleeping during the day, but this is out of control. I will lay in bed and my mind wont turn off. When I do sleep I have terrible nightmares of getting in car crashes, and loved ones dying. Is this normal, what should I do? Thanks for your support and any responses ahead of time.
If anyone else has been on AmorYn please share your experiences.

I had a bad reaction to Amoryn. Last night, after taking just one a day for five days, I went to the emergency room. I had trouble getting to sleep for the last few days, when I would wake up I felt like I hadn't slept. But last night my mind was racing and for the life of me I could not relax. I was confused and highly agitated. I guess I am just sensitive to the ingridients. I had not felt that way since I started having panic attacks in the late 80's but even then they would go away. I too have had trouble concentrating. I have not taken an Amoryn since yesterday at 1:00 PM but I still feel the effects. I won't be taking it anymore. I have the Seredyn and have taken a couple but it also doesn't agree with me. My advice to anyone taking Amoryn is do it under the care of a doctor.

From my understanding, Amoryn does not use a 5% hyperforin SJW like they claim. I found some information online about this a couple of weeks ago but can't remember where. Will let you all know if/when i find it again.
I have read their website and it seems a little far fetched that this miracle supplement can cure anxiety, depression, OCD and panic attacks. All in one pill?! I mean, seriously, "Overcome Obsessions and Compulsions with Amoryn" ?? --http://amoryn.com/help_ocd.html .
Very irresponsible if you ask me.

Hi takesunday,
I have long history with depression, anxiety and panic attacks. While I can`t fight depression without medication I learned how to deal with anxiety through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. One of the sites that really helped me with a free panic course is Uncommon knowledge and the course is at http://www.panic-attacks.co.uk/panic.html

I just started my 3rd bottle of Amoryn, It has been working wonders for me. I take 2 a day one in the morning, and one around dinner. About 30 minutes before going to sleep I take 1 5-htp, and I am out in no time. When I started the Amoryn I just quit Paxil cold turkey so, I can't tell if what I was experiencing was the Amoryn or the Paxil withdraw. But I swear by the stuff, I have none of the side effects that I had with Paxil, and it is working just as good on my depression. With the Amoryn I take a flax seed, and vitamin C, during lunch I take flax seed/vitamin C, and at dinner flax/C/Amoryn, then before bed 5-htp. Also I exercise alot. Try to stick with it for a while longer, things should start to improve. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

This is my third week of taking Amoryn and it works very well. When I wake up in the morning, I feel so refresh. Everything is so bright. I usually wake-up gloomy, tired and unmotivated to even get up. I take 1 tab. of Amoryn at 9am and 1 at 9pm. I supplement that with Omega 3 3x a day plus exercise. I feel great. I still have symptoms like panicky, chest pain, and dreams but they told me that It will go away after 6-8 weeks. Hell,I had worst when I was taking Paxil, Zoloft and effexor. It took me a year or so each just to get off of them. And the side effects were horrible. I'll never go back to prescription anti-depressant again. I just hope this will work in the long run.
Cable, what's the 5-htp, vitamin C and Flax seed for? Where can purchase them?

I am not an Amoryn user, but would suggest reducing your dose and drinking more water. If that does not help I'd quit.

Well I havent seen any more bad side-effects, but no good results either yet. But one things I did notice, I use a pill holder and I put all my pills into them for each day. I opened them now (4 days later) and they are all saturated or something. They all crumble in my hands! I dont know why, but if you have some amoryn, try leaving a pill out for a day or two. Mine were actually encased in the holder! so I dont know what the hell that means, but it gave me a scare. Then I tried to go to www.amoryn.com and there sites down! I am pretty pissed off right now, I emailed them the same thing I posted here and I have yet to recieve a response, there sites down, and there pills are crumbling! What the hell is going on here. I paid good money for these!

Hi Cable. I am happy to see that it is working for you. Do you mind if I email you? I would like to have someone to discuss my sideeffects / anything with. Also, I have heard that Sam-E helps with mood etc... as well. Amoryn does not contain any of this, so I was thinking about buying some to help it move right along. I emailed Amoryn customer support, and they emailed me back and completely ignored all my concerns! :-0 I will post the emails tomorrow or the next day. I am waiting on another reply that I wrote back.
Let me know what happens to your pill! Dont forget, I want to know :)
PS:I do feel more calm since I started it, but not a LOT more calm, just a little more relaxed.

No not yet. I have it on top of the fridge. Still looks fine. I am going to keep it there for atleast a week. I will keep you informed.

I just read that Amoryn has a new formula (added some vitamins) and can only produce in the tablet form. Is that what you have? Mine our the capsule form, that why they are not falling apart. They (the makers of Amoryn) are supposed to provide the capsule form soon....

I just got the new/improved formula with my most recent order (placed October 16) and it came in capsules. they look just like the old capsules and are the same size. after reading about the tablets on this site I called Amoryn and they said that the tablets were a one-time deal and now only they're only using capsules again, which is nice cause those tablets looked big in the picture.

I emailed them this and they refuse to answer any of my emails! I got ONE response for all my emails, and it says I am sorry for the misunderstanding. PERIOD< THATS ALL! I am so pissed off right now. THey have terrible support. Are there any other products that claim todo what amoryn does? Maybe one with the same mixture?

Did you return the bottle of Amoryn that you purchase? Maybe they gave you an old stock of Amoryn that had expired. Just return it and get a new bottle and if that doesn't work, you can always get your money back. It's on their warranty. There's this other product that I was thinking of trying. It's called Anxietol 7. It had been reviewed by Consumer health digest. It is on the top 10 list of Anti-depressant supplements. Amoryn is not even on the top 10 list. You can visit this site to find other Anti-depressant supplements:( Anxiety pills- reviewed )to see other products that are available.

By the way, I also tried Sam-e. It is good. It suppress my depression but it gave me severe gastrointestinal problem. I had to go to the doctor one day because I had stomach bleeding. If you have a sensitive stomach like me don't take it. You'll end up in the emergency with IV. I also couldn't eat solid food for a week. All I ate were soup and crackers and it sucks.
