Hello
I am taking life brand sjw on the bottle it says each tablet contains 1500 mg (hypercian perforatum)(from 300 mg 1:5 standardized extract with 0.3% hyperician) Take 3 daily
I am a little confused i thought i was to take 900mg daily but if this says each one is 1200 mg am i not taking to much. I have ben feeling better but have noticed that i feel alot of anxiety which i didnt feel before. I have been thinking of taking kava too. I have been on this sjw for about 3 weeks. Thanks in advance on any input. ajn

I think you're taking the correct dose. As I understand this each tablet contains 300 mg. extract standardized to 0.3% hypercin (active constituent) with other fillers from the hypericum perforatum (latin name for the sjw whole herb) to bring the tablet to 1500 or 1200? mg. Wish there were a standard for labels. You might double-check with the manufacturer or a pharmacist, but I think 3 tablets per day would give you 900 mg. of standardized extract, which is the accepted standard dose although some people may do better on less or more.

Good morning:
It sure does sound like you are taking too much. Usually 900 mgs. is the suggested dose. I think 1,200-1,500 per tablet is way too high. Perhaps you could speak to your pharmacist or doctor to help you with the correct dosages or purchase a brand of SJW that is standardized and allows you to take the correct dosage three times a day (or whatever schedule you find works for you.)
