Topic Title: is SJW safe with Kava?

I just began taking SJW for a few days and its helped already. I feel better , i think it might be the placebo affect for its too soon I suffer from social anxiety and I have been deprressed because of it.I did notice that the blusshing has subsided but I sweat more making me uncomfortable but the blushing was a huge problem, and I'm so glad its much less frequent. I heard taking kava helps with axiety like mine but I just wonder if anyone has heard or experience this with a mix o kava and SJW? I have a my sisters wedding coming up and I really want to be a great maid of honor (lots of socializing involve)I wish I could have a magic herb for this, I love her soo much and I want to be there for her.I appreciate any suggestions thank you all

There used to be brands of SJW that included Kava Kava in them, here in Canada... I took that combination for several years and it worked remarkably well. But Kava was banned in Canada (not exactly sure why) some time ago, so they're no longer available together. It's available in the U.S. and elsewhere though.

Hi Kelly: I also used Kava Kava for about 6 months approximately seven years ago (on its own). It did work quite well for reducing anxiety, and therefore alleviating some of the depression too. I believe that Kava Kava has been taken off the market in some countries due to the fact that it was found / or believed to have caused serious liver damage in some people.

Yes, Australia is one of those countries. Somewhat ironic that, even if it does cause liver damage in higher doses as claimed, it does sound rather like the symptoms of excessive consumption of another well liked substance which is freely available just about everywhere doesn't it?
