It's possible that your depression isn't caused by low seratonin. That's a pretty high dose you're on, 50% more than the highest I've seen recommended. I was on capsules, about 300 - 600 mg day, for a few years and it worked well for me. Later I had better luck taking the SJW tea, with fewer side effects. I'm not on The Mood Cure regime, but noticed if I take SJW tea with these supplments I start to get "seratonin-ed out", meaning I can really feel too high.

It's unlikely at that dose, unless you are taking something else that might interact with the SJW to increase serotonin levels or are very susceptible to serotonin for some reason -- not certain if that's a possibility. You may be experiencing side effects. SJW is considered to be a low generator of side effects, but individuals vary in their response.
You posted a question about stopping SJW in another section of the forum, and ramping down to see if the symptoms improve sounds like something you should start immediately. If you're worried or really feeling bad I would advise seeing a doctor as soon as possible, particularly if you have been taking any other medication with the SJW.

I agree with MacKay, I don't think that 1200mg SJW a day can cause Serotonin Syndrome. I suggest you get off SJW and I don't think you should be that worried about withdrawal,4 months on it is not enough time to cause any problems.
