Roaccutane (Accutane) has shown to alter brain function in all teenager that were scanned after exposure to the toxin. Roaccutane also is found to lower the levels of several hormones such as thyroid hormone and dihydrotestosterone, which is likely to give problems later in life, because the hormonal levels fall naturally.

Whatever you take - do not take Accutane!

For those of you who don't know, here's Google's definition of Roaccutane:
"Isotretinoin is a drug used for the treatment of acne. It is a retinoid, meaning it is derived from Vitamin A and is found naturally in the body, produced by the liver in small quantities. Isotretinoin is sold under many brand names, including Accutane® and Roaccutane® by Roche. It is also marketed as Accure® (Alphapharm), Oratane® (Douglas Pharmaceuticals), and Isohexal® (Hexal Australia).
I'm not sure how it relates to St. John's Wort or depression at all, but since it sounds like a nasty drug I'll leave this thread here anyways... why don't people take Proactiv for acne? It's a little on the expensive side, but it only uses a common drug known as benzoyl peroxide and some natural ingredients.
