Hi,

I have been on SJW for 6 months, 1600mg(2 tablets) for the last 3 months of these. I reduced my dose 2 weeks ago to 800mg(as I was told you should take breaks from it) and in the last 3-5 days my anxiety(panic attacks) and depression have come back with a vengeance. There were always there but nothing like this since before I took SJW. I’ve gone back on to 1600mg in the last 2 days. Has anyone else had this happen? Does this mean I have to keep upping dose of SJW to keep these feelings at bay? Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Jon

You have probably got used to the higher dose and cutting it down makes your body go into a kind of withdrawl. 16000 mg is above the recommended dose however, and maybe you should try 900 mg to see if that works for you, otherwise your doctor may be able to advise you on the best dosage for you to take, as everyone is different in how much they can tolerate.

Thanks for your advice on this. Kinda hoping it wasn't that, but you may be right. I had no side effects from the higher dose of 1,600mg at all. I just found it weird that this low happened so quickly. Not sure about going to lower dosage, wil talk to doc. Thanks
