I've been on St. John's Wort for a while now, & am very happy with the results so far. I'm taking 3 capsules a day, 300 mg. I'm a big guy, 5'10" & I weigh 280. Is this dosage appropriate for someone as big as me? Should I take more?

If you feel fine on it carry on with it. If you feel that you need extra then take another one( of course depending on the potency of what you are taking check with your doctor if you are at all a little aprehensive about it). I am 5ft 8 and 10st, I guess strapping for a girl!!Lean and mean!, I took more than my 3 on a couple of occasions( but not over a period of time) and i was fine. In germany where it is prescribed by doctors they take double the dose of what we do . In england as it is not prescription I guess they dont have the type of insurance to stick put take six (depending on potency)on the box. Where as if it was prescribed here they would put more on the box. I guess. So dont worry people take far worse things over periods of time!. Again see how you feel st johns wort is gentle. ps I take 3 a day Hope this helps. Also as long as you are fit generally and dont have high blood pressure . Make sure you drink enough in the day as well

Actually I do have high blood pressure, but I'm on medication for it. Does that make a difference?

HI Greg,
I honestly could not answer that and would hate to advise you wrongly. So perhaps it would be best to check with your doctor or ring the makers of kira st johns wort Lichtwer pharmacies (ps I may have spelt that wrong). I have rang them before and they will be able to answer and you can mention any other things
