I am on paxil 40mg but still have trouble going to crowded places. I started having panic attacks in 5th grade because I was a fainter.
I first fainted at age 7. They never found out for sure why. In 5th grade I fainted and a new student to our school was so upset they sent her home and me back to class.
She made such a fuss about my fainting I was told to go to the bathroom if I felt faint so as not to disrupt the class.
As a result I get nervous, then feel faint, panic & leave the situation or class I am at, so I go to the rest room and faint, get sick or break down & cry...I turn 60 this year.

Hi Nanny,
Wow, that's really incredible that they sent the other student home and told you to "behave yourself". That's truly horrible! They must have been very backward, and it's no wonder if the experience affected you later. Anyway, I don't have any particular ideas to suggest, but I just want to say, "Feel free to faint on this forum!" It won't bother anyone here at all, and maybe we can fan you or something until you come to. :- ) Welcome.
