I am having problems finding a dose that works consistently. I am taking Perika. I have been at a steady dose of 900 mg/day for a couple of months. Overall I have been feeling better. Some days, fewer lately, I have felt how I imagine most people feel most of the time. Other days have been like days with no medication at all. This is not situational -- it comes out of the blue and is very difficult to deal with. I am totally without energy, negative, appetite out of control, have hideous mornings -- generally feel some degree better in the evening. Without any medication these days happen all the time. I have tried numerous prescription medications, counseling etc. over many years. On the best days SJW Perika has worked close to the top of any of those, but the intervening really bad days which pop up a couple of times a week or more are hard to deal with. Has anyone else had this experience, and if so found a solution?
Tried increasing the dose on a couple of bad days and felt very fatigued. On decreasing initially had a very bad day. I feel as though 900 mg may be too much for me on a long term basis, but may need more for periods of a few weeks. Does this make sense?
Prescription medications are out of the question. Like so many others in the U.S. I have no insurance. Don't get me started on lack of access to care in the States.
Thanks for any input.
