I read earlier where someone posted that medication cannot help depression do to grief...
what if you feel like you're grieving even though you have nothing to cause grief. I feel like i am grieving things that haven't happened...like the death of my family, spouse. none of these things have occurred but for some reason i keep dwelling on them.
if its self induced grief (or something like that) could medication help?

First of all, I am very sorry that you are feeling this way. It must be awful. Second of all, grief can cause depression and it can be successfully treated. Some people call it "situational depression" where you are chemicaly susceptible to depression but you don't really became depressed until something traumatic (like the death of a loved one) happens. Whoever said that it can't be treated might have meant that it doesn't take away the grief that you feel, it just makes it so you can grieve normally and can still function, etc. It sounds like you could very well be depressed so you might want to talk to your regular doctor to see what they suggest. You might need a little therapy, medication, or even something like SJW. What ever you decide I hope it works and I hope you feel better soon.
disclaimer: This is just my opinion.

I couldn't put it any better than Sugarstar.
If you try SJW I really hope it helps.
Good luck...
