Hi , I have had good results with prozac for depression in the short time I took it (six months and I felt great)
I am trying St John's wort this time, Nature's best (UK brand), three tablets , so 1000ug of Hypericin from 340mg of 8:1 extract per tablet.
I only upped the dose after reading this place on Thursday, so two weeks at one tablet and now three a day.
How long should I give it , is this a reasonable brand or are there better in the UK, the prozac keep jumping out at me when I open the medicine drawer

Wow! You are really lucky to have found a med that works for you! Still, I understand the desire to switch to something different, but like Kelly said, it is nice to know that you have something to go back to that works. Still, I hope that whatever med (be it SJW or something like prozac) you want to take works wonderfully!

Give it six weeks, just like they say with Prozac. It sounds like you have nothing to lose, because if the SJW doesn't work for you, you can always go back to Prozac. Just don't take them both at the same time... not only is there no point, but it can actually make you feel a little less happy than just having the right dosage to begin with. Good luck.
