Please see my thread below entitled "Do I take One Per Day or Three...?" in which I discovered that a brand of SJW contained 334mg of SJW extract, and it states on their packaging that their capsules contain equivelant to 1000mg of SJW containing 1mg hypericin.
I e-mailed *another* manufacturer of SJW who state on their packaging that their SJW is 2000mg.
They said in their e-mail;
"Each tablet of our own brand SJW provides 333mg Standardised extract of SJW, the dry herb equivalent is 2000mg, providing 1mg Hypericin. The standardised extract is always lower than the dry herb equivalent but manufacturers tend to use the dry herb equivalent as a guideline."
So, even if packaging states a high mg of SJW, the amount of SJW extract may just be the standard 333mg of SJW extract. Which I think possibly confuses many people, and perhaps many are purchasing SJW thinking the brand they buy is more powerful than it actually is.
