would be grateful of any advice please.

I suffer with GAD but not really depression, get pissed off with the worry but not truly depressed........so i wonder what herb would be best for me?? any suggestions?? tried st johns wort now for 3 months and it has made me feel good but the anxiety is still there........think if i could clam down a little then i would be happy anyway if you see what i mean.

any help or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

You could try other things other than 5htp or SJW like L Theanine,Niacinimide(not niacin)or a milk peptide like Tryptozen.I've also gotten a nice calming effect from Rhodiola Rosea(Rhodax brand) and a B complex vitamin.I would also suggest trying magnesium,I've been using this lately at 800mg a day and gotten good results.But it has to be an absorbable form,the oxide form found in most multivitamins is pretty useless.I would suggest the glycinate,taurinate or citrate(the one I'm using)forms.
