Stuart, try exercising through your panic attack. Helps use up the adrenaline rush "fight or flight" effect. Also, deep breathing

Hi Stuart
I tried valerian at the beginning when I first started SJW, I found it smoothed the edges of anxiety and panic but it made me soooooooooooooooooo sleepy. After about a month of SJW I found that the anxiety was pretty much gone, and the panic is very very manageable. So, I only took the valerian for about a month. I would have to say that after a couple of months I feel normal (well, as normal as I get lol)
I also find that a good B complex vitamin helps and I take evening primrose oil, or flax seed oil and that helps too. Oh yeah, and I quit drinking 47 cans of coke every day and that made a huge difference with the anxiety...who knew? hehe Ok, maybe it wasn't 47 but I drank ALOT of coke.
Before I found out about the SJW, I was taking Ativan (a benzo) for anxiety and panic. It was to much, just felt like my head was packed in cotton for the most of the day. That's when I came across valerian. The other thing I tried was a Bach Flower Remedy the Rescue Remedy. You know, it really did work. Don't know how or why, but it worked and I carry one around with me, just in case!
Hang in there, it does get so much better.
