Hi there,
I am new here but have found some great and encouraging words on this forum about SJW. I am considering starting to take it, but would like to get my combination of supplements OK before I start.
For one month I have been suffering from moderate - severe (I don't really know how to rate it!) depression and anxiety. I am pretty much continually "down" and my sleep is affected. I can get off to sleep but wake several times in the night feeling anxiety.
I would like to try supplements before going down the drug route so have done a lot of research!
Firstly - I have already bought Amoryn, which contains Hyperforin (apparently the active ingredient of SJW) and 5-HTP.
Should I take this in combination with St John's Wort? Or take it on its own as it contains the necessary active ingredient anyway?
Also, I have heard that SJW combined with SAM-e and GABA are effective? Does anyone have any advice on this? I have heard that GABA is particularly good for relaxation and regulating sleep.
Any advice on Amoryn vs SJW vs 5-HTP etc, and the right combinations would be very welcome!
Thanks, and I hope you're all feeling well.
Gareth
