Topic Title: How long did it take for improvement?

Going on my third week of taking The Perika brand St. John's Wort and two Sam-E tablets a day.
Feel marginally better... but not nearly like what I was hoping
In the past I took something called "St. John's Positive Thoughts" and it seemed to work for a period (around three months or so) and then just stopped working.
http://www.iherb.com/st.html?ovchn=INK&ovcpn=SiteMatch&ovcrn=SMX&ovtac=PI That's the product I speak of, could it have been something besides The St. John's Wort in it, that caused the benefits?!? (short lived as they may have been)
It seems to have other ingredients that in theroy should help, but will admit to not knowing much about what it could have been... Hoping someone who is well versed on herbal antidepressents can look at the link and give me some feedback on what it might have been (again assuming it was not The St. John's Wort itself.)
Got sidetracked for a period.. but back to my original question, should I give my current regimen another week?!? two weeks?!? three weeks?!? etc...
Could it be that I need therapy also?!? (something that I hope is not the case... I tend to keep everything bottled up and have enough problems confiding in friends and family)
Sorry for all the questons.. just things that have been weighing on my mind.

Colt: Stay with the Perika for a period of 2 months and then re-evaluate how you feel. You may, at the end of the trial, need to up your dosage some. For my situation, I take 600mg per meal - so it is basically double the minimum dosage and it has helped me for the last 2 years. SJW takes a while to build up in your system, but you will definitely notice a difference. I went off SJW for 2 weeks last summer to see what would happen. I started getting anxiety and became more and more negative and down. I ended up going back on it. Also for one week (last week) I went down to the 900mg per day to see what would happen. I noticed that I need the 1800mg.
