Topic Title: Perika SJW, Lexapro, and Insomnia???
| | "Perika SJW, Lexapro, and Insomnia???" , Fri 25 Mar 10:34
Hi everyone. New to the site and have found it to be very helpful. However, I do have a couple of questions, 1)Is Perika SJW good for anxiety? I know it's good for depression, but I haven't read much about how it well it works with anxiety. 2) [Brief history] Currently, I'm on Lexapro (10mg) for anxiety & depression and have a REALLY bad time going to sleep at night. My doctor has put me on Lunesta for sleep, but I don't want to keep taking pills to get a good nights rest. [question...finally]Anyways, my question is, will the combination of Perika SJW (or any SJW) and the Lexapro help the insomnia or will it make it worse. I know they both affect serotonin, but I don't know it the added Perika will make it worse. I've spoken with my doctor, but she didn't help too much. All she said was that I should be careful before choosing to add to my current medication. Thanks for any input offered. I'm getting really tired of this lack of sleep or the "druggy" feeling the morning after taking a sleeping aid. Thanks again. This site is great.

You shouldn't take SJW while taking prescription meds. Didn't you read the back of the container? BAD idea.

Yeah I read the back, but usually there is really no interaction. At least BAD interactions. This is the first time that anything out of the ordinary happened. Pffft! I guess it's a lesson to be learned.
