If you are thinking of taking Paxil CR allow me to give you some insight. Plan on taking this drug for the rest of your life. I stopped taking Paxil CR just three days ago and I am experiencing the craziest feelings inside my head. Every time my eyes look in a different direction I hear a ZAP sound. Last night while watching televison I experienced vertigo for the first time and it scared the living hell out of me. Right now it's Monday morning and I have not been able to do anything at work other then trying to ignore the sounds in my head. I hate this more then the anxiety I was tryinh to get rid of and now I wish I had never looked for help in the first place...ZAP!!!

Oh yeah, I had some very similar side effects when I quit taking Paxil CR. The worst part was a slight tremor that would come back every couple of days. My vision was off as well as my balance. I quit it all at once also. I blame Paxil as well as my Dr because no one said to me it was habit forming. Heroin is habit forming too. I will NEVER take that crap again. I don't see any posting for you regarding SJW, howzit working if you are? I found kava kava worked well when I quit Paxil, might give it a try. My Dr said that I might not be taking enough Paxil (25mg) and advised me to up the dosage. I guess when I can no longer walk a straight line, the dosage must be high enough. I quit the chemical diet and started SJW a few months back and I don't regret a minute of it. The only noticable side effect I have is I am real thirsty. I probably needed to drink more water anyway so no harm done. Good luck whatever route you choose.

Whoo slow down my friend... When you say you stopped taking it 3 days ago, it may mean you came off to fast. Paxil has a relatively short half life and if you make a sudden change to your dosage, then you may experience these type of side-effects. I reduced from 30mg to zero over a 6 week period, and changed to Fluox. I also zapped my way through life for awhile, but it has got better. When I turned my eyes left and right I was all over the place, it was really weird, but it has settled down now. You may need to go back on a reduced rate and you may need to give it some time for things to settle down.
