For me, I think the pharmaceuticals are just plain to expensive. I don't have health insurance, so cost and availability are issues, but deep discounts are available on line without a prescription. Still, Prozac is really expensive and scary to self medicate with. Beyond that though, can anyone here who has experienced both talk about the strengths and weaknesses of SJW vs Pharmaceuticals?

Hi Willy-
I have found, that cost aside, the side effects were the worst thing about taking pharmaceuticals. I couldn't sleep, I had horrible stomach pains, and nausea plus the weight gain. With SJW, I haven't had any side effects to speak of. I have been on it since mid May and I feel remarkably better. The negative thoughts have pretty much disappeared, I sleep great, I don't feel anxious and nervous much and I don't have the obsessive worrying I did before. I hope this helps.
