Someone suggested that I try kava kava for anxiety attacks. SJW makes some people feel more anxious when they first begin taking it. Kava kava seems to work pretty well with no side effects. Might look at that, I decided to begin taking it after looking at some of the posts on this forum. Good luck!

Yep. I have been on Zoloft, Serzone, Celexa, Paxil... you get the point. SJW has been great, no problem. But I sometimes have anxiety attacks. Kava kava has been the only thing besides xanax that worked well. Great thing is I don't have a hangover the next morning after kava kava. It is, for me, probably the most inert thing I have taken. I sometimes get shakey, usually due to lack of sleep from anxiety, and I have tried a lot of things for it, prescription or not. I wouldn't say it makes me sleep like xanax, but I can function the next morning. I really have not noticed anything negative by taking both kk and sjw. The dosage on the bottle says "1 or 2 as needed". I did some more research on it. Pretty much the only bad thing was a slight link to liver problems when taken in large dosages. I keep it to no more than 2 before bed and one during the day if I need it. Hope it helps.
